6/12/20 - TRAINER OF THE WEEK!
Today GRACE Transition Education Services highlights our Trainer of the Week. Esmeralda Garcia Ybarra is one of the original GRACE trainers. Mrs. Garcia Ybarra began as a Teacher trainer for GRACE TES in 2017. She was so excited about the mission and dreams of GRACE TES and she has worked hard for students ever since. She has not taken a semester or summer off since beginning her journey with GRACE TES. During the school year Esmeralda works to train students, in a classroom setting, to be prepared to enter the workforce. She delivers curriculum in an exciting and real life way. Students explore career interests, post secondary options, work readiness skills, self advocacy and work based learning. During summer months Esmeralda provides both curriculum training and serves as a Job Skills Trainer - training students in paid or unpaid work experience trainings.
Mrs. Garcia-Ybarra is such a big part of GRACE TES and the successes of her students. Students love and respect her and while she manages the classroom with grace and style her students know love and compassion because of her leadership. |
Mrs Garcia-Ybarra, your family at GRACE TES loves and appreciates all of the hard work you do daily to make sure that our mission is being fulfilled and our students are ready for competitive employment when they complete high school or post-secondary education.
WE'RE COMING BACK TO THE CLASSROOM!
We're so excited to gather again with our GRACE students starting June 1st!
As always, our priority lies with the healthy and safety of our students, so classes will look a little bit different.
Check out our four point plan to ensure that all students are practicing social distancing, staying healthy, and staying safe during classes:
1. Each class will only be occupied by six students and one teacher.
2. All tables will be six feet apart.
3. We will not serve any food, but will provide a prepackaged snack for each students around 3 PM. Parents will be asked to feed their children lunch before bringing them to class.
4. Parents and students will still have the option of participating virtually if they are not comfortable coming to class.
We believe that getting back into the classroom in a safe manner is the best way forward and in the best interest of our students!
We can't wait to see you all!
