"​Early in my life I knew I was supposed to do something in education. My mom always told me I was supposed to be a teacher. She would share stories with me and I remember bringing out a tiny chalkboard and 'playing teacher'. I was a strong willed little girl and I struggled a lot in my teens years. As life happened, I realized I struggled more than most  but I had a true desire to learn, it just took me longer. My strong spirit and rebellious attitude got me into trouble often and I struggled with times of change in my life (transition). 

I truly believe that my struggles and difficulties in life  brought me to this place, where through education we can provide students and adults with the training they need to be able to walk through times of changes (transition) and do it successfully. My teen struggles were so real that I didn't graduate high school. I earned a GED after my oldest son was born. 

Life change can bring on lots of stress and anxiety. That's one of the reasons transition training is so important, because its easier to give up than it is to believe we can succeed at something that we really want. GRACE Transition Education Services believes in getting students and adults ready for advance and competitive careers through transition employment training.  We focus on training - giving YOU the tools you need to be successful. Our training include career exploration - what strengths and gifts do I have that I would love to be able to use everyday AND get paid for. We provide sessions in Post Secondary Counseling - sometimes additionally training, certifications or maybe even a degree can make a big difference in the amount of money you make in a certain field... it isn't for everybody but when you are done with this training session you will know your options for you career of choice. We also offer trainings in Work Readiness, Work Based Learning and Self Advocacy. 

Work Experience Training is also very important and that is where we put you in an entry level job for  (paid or unpaid) and you get the opportunity to really know what the job to help you decide if this is really the type of work you want to do long term.

Whatever you goal is, we can help you get there. As a High School drop-out things were really challenging for me. I was blessed with family, mentors, and supervisors that helped to push me through those difficult times. I was blessed to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Human Services in 2011 and a Master Degree in Special Education and Educational Administration in 2012 and 2013. I am a certified teacher and Principal in the state of Texas. I am employed full-time as an Administrator of a specialized program."
